Our History and Mission

We offer a wide variety of plastics in sheets, tubes, and rods, with multiple colors, finishes, thicknesses, and formats. In addition to material supply, we possess the technical and production capabilities required to develop fully finished parts and products, tailored to each client's specifications. Our facilities, spanning over 2,000 m², are equipped with advanced machinery and technology for custom cutting, laser cutting, CNC machining, thermoforming, polishing, bonding, and assembly. This capability allows us to manufacture everything from single pieces and prototypes to complete series and more complex projects. We also develop comprehensive manufacturing and installation projects for sectors such as industry, construction, advertising, retail, decoration, and commerce, offering fully customized solutions. Our catalog includes materials such as methacrylate, compact and cellular polycarbonate, PETG, PEHD polyethylene, PVC, and foamed PVC. We also supply and transform technical plastics like nylon, PTFE or Teflon, polyamides, POM or Delrin, among others. We complement our activities with technical advisory services, special parts manufacturing, prototype development, stock management and storage, 24-hour urgent service, installations, and assemblies. Our innovative spirit, the knowledge accumulated over more than seven decades, and continuous client advice allow us to offer effective, reliable solutions adapted to each application. Our History

  1. 1953

    Start of Activity

    The company begins in Terrassa, a town that had experienced a great industrial boom thanks to textiles. With the crisis in this sector, entrepreneur Jordi Freixa Ubach seeks to enter new markets. He commissions Julio Ferrán with a new business project: the adaptation of equipment to work with plastic materials. The new project will be called Plásticos Ferplast.

  2. 1965

    New Facilities

    The business idea is highly successful, taking its first steps as a component supplier for industries and businesses. Methacrylate is its main product. The decision is made to invest in its own, more central facilities, which will house the company until the 1990s.

  3. 1970–1980

    Growth and Consolidation

    Plásticos Ferplast gains renown, securing high-volume clients nationwide. Despite its growth, the company remains committed to maintaining a street-level office open to the public to continue serving individual customers. The facilities, little by little, become too small.

  4. 1992

    The Great Leap Forward

    The move to a much larger industrial facility allows for greater ambition. New technologies, such as numerical control machines and robotic stations, are acquired, which will be crucial for significant advancement. The company commits to expanding its range of plastic materials and begins its expansion into EU countries.

  5. 2001

    We are a great company

    A large number of competitors have appeared in the market. However, Plásticos Ferplast's track record places it in an advantageous position that it aims to maintain by investing in new equipment: its first 5-axis machine or CAD/CAM technology.

  6. 2010

    And onwards

    ISO 9001 (currently ISO 9001:2015) was obtained, a certification that endorses the quality of Plásticos Ferplast's processes. The company entered the online world with the creation of its first virtual store. It was decided to expand the catalog of offerings with new technical plastics such as nylon, Teflon, or polyamides. Currently, Plásticos Ferplast consists of a team of over 25 people and has advanced technology machinery, including 6 numerical control (CNC) machines and a wide variety of specific machines for plastic manufacturing and processing.
